Tyree, ERC Peer Mentor

Meet Tyree Reid, a 17 year old Peer Mentor at the Evening Reporting Center with NET Centers. At 12, Tyree started hanging out with the wrong group of kids and headed down the wrong path. At 16 years old, Tyree found himself in trouble with the law and he had a few options for his future and he chose NET. During his time at NET’s Evening Reporting Center, Tyree excelled and became an obvious leader in the program. After six months of hard work, Tyree left the ERC ready to get his first job and ready to bring the tools he gained from ERC into his community. His plans were changed for the better. Instead of working at the local store, or delivering pizza in his neighborhood, the organizers created a part-time position for Tyree as a Peer Mentor at their North Philadelphia location.Tyree is what the ERC is all about, young men, helping young men better their lives and their communities.
