About a week ago, Jamie, sent me this message:
” I may not always stay in touch, but I care about you very much. I may not always stop by to say hi; I hope I never have to say goodbye. I may not prove to be the perfect family or friend, but I hope the frienship we share never reaches an end…. You are my family and friend till the end. Thanks”.
Those sentiments accurately reflect the decades of friendship we shared. His thoughtfulness to send this simple message made me smile, just like Jamie always did.
I’d like to think many of us had similar friendships with Jamie.
Last Friday, September 1st, Jamie’s life was ended too soon by a would-be robber in a senseless act of violence.
Jamie leaves behind his adult daughter, Amber, and his twelve-year-old son, Riley.
This Go Fund Me account has been created for Jamie’s funeral expenses. Any remaining funds will be for Riley’s needs.
Services will be held this Saturday, September 9th. Addittional information will be added as soon as it becomes available.
